Practice in the Prairie – 6-7
Indian Creek Nature Center – Take your practice to the prairie as some of Cedar Rapids’ best instructors teach a different style of yoga or Pilates each week to keep you on your toes! Bring a yoga mat and dress for the outdoors. Class is held on the Amazing Space patio, and in case of rain, class will be held indoors. Free. http://indiancreeknaturecenter.org/

Full Moon Series: Hike, Yoga, and Moonlight Meditation in the Tipi Instructor: Maria Dummermuth Enjoy an evening of hiking in nature, yoga, and moonlight relaxation. Begin with a medium-length hike, return to the patio for a short stretch, and retire to the tipi for a guided meditation and relaxation with Himalayan Singing bowls and nature. One of the nation’s—and the world’s—preeminent orchestras, The Philadelphia Orchestra boasts a legacy of impeccable and innovative music making. The orchestra played a memorable concert in the original Hancher Auditorium shortly after the events of September 11, 2001, including a stirring performance of “America the Beautiful.” The ensemble’s debut performance in the new Hancher Auditorium will no doubt be unforgettable as well.

Feed the Dog @ The Famous Mockingbird – 8-11 Tickets $10

Feed the Dog is an eclectic and action packed, high energy, jam-rock-grass band. The Appleton based group features masterfully crafted fiddle, Kottle like finger-pickin acoustic six and Twelve strong guitar, funky bass lines, and percussive soul. The band started in 2015 and has been relentless playing festivals, theaters and clubs alongside regional and national touring acts.

Catwalks, Casino& Cocktails – 6pm – The Rooftop at Philip’s Center

Urban Vintage Hair Studio & Spa presents “Catwalks, Casino & Cocktails” for a cause, an immersive fashion show, party and casino unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. This roof top party will feature two stories of casino games, dancing, hors’ doeurves, desserts, a cash bar, music, auctions and a live fashion show that will take you on a tour of fashion through the ages and into the future!

All proceeds will benefit The Wellness Center, a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to connect our community with alternative solutions for addressing chronic pain and disease. By utilizing preventative therapies and helping people adopt lifestyle changes that will not only increase the quality of life in Linn County, but also set up future generations for lifelong health.

Dress up in your finest attire (1920s theme encouraged) and lose yourself into a fascinating world of roaring twenties madness. Tickets are $60/person in advance and can be purchased online. $70 at the door
